About Me

Hi, I'm Karisa Cloutier, an educator and instructional designer passionate about creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences. I began my career in 1998 as a music teacher, where I spent more than two decades working with elementary and middle school learners and discovering the power of creative, student-centered instruction. My curiosity about technology and learning eventually led me to explore web development, coding, and digital learning tools. During the rapid shift to virtual learning in 2020, I supported colleagues in adapting their teaching practices for online environments, which ultimately led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Instructional Design and Technology. Today, I work professionally as a Learning Experience Designer, developing courses and training programs for higher education and organizational learning. Through this blog, I share insights on instructional design, learning strategy, and the evolving role of technology in education based on my experience designing real-world learning solutions.
